Dear Family and Friends,
Happy New Year! I hope this greeting finds you all well. This past year has truly had a little bit of everything (cue “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” theme song), but as a favorite speaker of mine has said:
“The past is to be learned from but not lived in. We look back to claim the embers from glowing experiences but not the ashes. And when we have learned what we need to learn and have brought with us the best that we have experienced, then we look ahead.” (Jeffrey R. Holland)
The embers I choose to claim from 2019 and bring with me into the new year include beautiful moments of joy and laughter with family and friends, incredible lessons of faith and patience (always working on those☺), and most importantly my relationships with each of you and with Jesus Christ whose birth I was so grateful to celebrate this month.
Borrowing a few words of a favorite song (with apologies to Carole King), as the sun sets on 2019, I’m ready to take a giant step into 2020 where every day holds wonders to be seen. Here’s to another year of growth and love and friendships.
I wish you all a peaceful and joyful 2020!
Love,
Susannah
